Hi and welcome back to me!
i am sooo sorry. It’s been such a busy time. Summer is quickly coming to an end and I am trying to get a lot of things done with my daughter before she goes back to school.
First I will tell you about some exciting news! on Day 76, I went to the beach with my daughter. It has been almost 3 years since I last went swimming in the cold pacific ocean. The water temperature would send my CRPS arm into spasms and pain! Well Saturday was an unusually HOT day in California. about 97 degrees & I didnt bring an umbrella. Anyway, it got very warm, so I decided I would do my best to keep my arm out of the water and get wet to cool off. Well, I fell into the water and got my arm wet. Cringing, and waiting for the inevitable pain… that NEVER came… I was SHOCKED!! I ended up swimming and playing in the waves with my daughter and her 2 friends for about 30-40 minutes until a very large wave tumbled me and I hit my head. Still no PAIN!
Ok… just realized the time. I will try to finish these last 2 weeks later tonight!
Let me try to get you all caught up.
Not only did I swim in the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean, but I also have been spending time in our pool. Something I haven’t done without an insane amount of pain since I broke my arm (& developed CRPS). I still can’t wrap my head around it. It doesnt make any sense to me that a “Brain Health Supplement” has given more more than I ever believed possible.
I also had a Girls Day Out… with a limo ride, mani/pedi (without pain) and laughter at a bar. I dont … rather I didnt get to do this very much. Before CRPS I spent every other Friday Country Dancing at a place called the Ranch in Anaheim. After… I just couldn’t stand anyone touching my arm. It took everything I had to keep tears from streaming down my face from someone brushing by me, let alone grabbing my arm or hitting me on the dance floor. I think I should try to do it again. I have a hankering! LOL
Most importantly is waking up in the morning isn’t such a struggle, nor is falling asleep at night. I used to toss and turn as I couldn’t find a way to fall asleep without my arm burning, freezing or having pins and needles. I tossed and turned until I could no longer fight it and finally passed out. Usually about 2:30-3:00 a.m. Now I am in bed by 10 and asleep by 11. No tossing, or turning. Just a few minutes to find that comfortable position and … lights out! I sleep so soundly. Its wonderful. I wake about 6, just before my alarm goes off and feel refreshed! No need to stumble to the kitchen for coffee or drive through Starbucks on my way to work. Don’t get me wrong I still LOVE COFFEE… it’s just a treat now instead of a necessity.

Has it really been 18 days since my last post? Goodness I am so sorry. Now that I have my energy back, my brain is functioning and my pain levels so low… I can actually function as normal human being.
No more falling asleep on the couch at 5:30… no more waking up to dirty dishes because I hurt too bad or was too tired to clean the kitchen… no more crying myself to sleep because I want to gnaw my arm off.
Sleep… has been incredible! I will figure out how to share pictures on this blog very soon… I promise. Then I will share with you my sleep monitors, so you can see for yourself. I am sleeping so much better since starting EHT. Even if I sleep less hours, I feel awake as soon as I take my EHT with a nice healthy fat! Lately I have been eating a natural oatmeal with brown sugar and nuts. The mixed nuts provide a healthy fat for the EHT to bind with. I swear this stuff is changing my life! My dreams are quite vivid (even more than before) and one thing I’ve noticed lately is the frequency of my bad dreams is decreasing. I had a bad childhood and suffered greatly at the hands of bullies. Still to this day, I relive those painful moments on the playground in my sleep, but lately… those are fading, becoming less and less frequent. There have been a few nights where insomnia was my bedfellow and I wasn’t so exhausted that I couldn’t function! that alone is enough for me to take EHT!
Pain.. my muscles ache less, and it seems when I walk or do yoga my recovery time is less. My CRPS pain level is staying at a nice 1-3 where before I was happy if I dropped to a 5-6 but was usually a 8-10 on a daily basis. Not that I am saying that EHT is a cure for CRPS but whatever it’s doing to the TAU in my brain is helping! I have found myself more and more often doing things that I wouldn’t have dreamed doing since my diagnosis. I cleaned behind my couches the other day (pulled them out, swept, mopped & put them back), cleaned the back porch (swept & watered down– its a big yard), cleaned refrigerator out & wiped the downstairs windows… normally I would have woken up the next day in so much pain I would have to call in sick for work. Not only did I go to work, but I also got home and cleaned my bathroom, bedroom, vacuumed upstairs and prepped for my friend to visit. Having OCD & major anxiety about people viewing me negatively makes me overclean EVERYTIME someone comes to my house. Yes I over did it. Yes I cleaned almost every inch of my house and yet I felt great! That alone is amazing and I want to cry out in JOY!!!
Energy… as you can see I have more energy. Am taking daily walks with the puppies I am puppy sitting. I am back to doing yoga (only 20 minutes but you have to start somewhere), and starting to not feel so tired when I finally do go away. I dont feel jittery like I have with caffeine and other energy products. I have never had an energy drink but I see people all the time with the shaky hands and then crashing hours later when the effects wear off. With EHT I don’t have that problem. I feel great and energetic all day. Winding down in the evening when I am supposed to.
